Reach Your Fitness Goals During the Holidays
Every year around New Year’s the Gym membership go up and people begin to work out. They do this because they made poor choice after poor choice leading up to the Holiday season and then just figured I mine as well wait until after the Holiday’s to start back up. Don’t let this be you, be proactive and start now.

SET GOALS
No matter how big or small, set goals for yourself now. For example, these are some of my goals:
– Workout every day leading up to the Holiday’s and during.
– Drink plenty of water (80oz for my body weight and activity level).
– No to candy.
– Lose 5 pounds before New Year’s Day.
These are some of my goals that I have set for myself and I know if I stick to it, I can reach them all. The workout every day will be a challenge to fit in, but remember, it is worth the outcome. There are days that I have time to workout for an hour and there are other days I can only sneak in a 15-minute ab workout and that is ok. The point is to keep moving.
INDULGE
It is important to remember to enjoy the Holidays with your family and friends. Don’t be so focused on what you are allowed to eat or what you are going to have to wear, that you forget about the true meaning of these Holidays. At parties, allow yourself to eat a few extra items you normally wouldn’t, just don’t go crazy. Be mindful of portion sizes. If you restrict yourself too much, most likely you will just end up being grumpy or will binge later. Plus if you got your workout in before the party, you should be just fine.
DO IT TOGETHER
Find a friend, colleague or family member you can workout with and talk to about your fitness goals. There are numerous studies that show doing health and fitness with someone proves for better results than those who go it alone. For me, I always have my mom. She loves health and fitness as much as I do and I can always talk to her or talk her into doing a workout with me. Find your person.
TRACK YOUR SUCCESS
It is a big deal that you are committing to your fitness journey. Make it a big deal. Track your success. Get a journal that you can write down your daily thoughts, mindset, workouts, and foods. Look back at your journal weekly so you can see where you may have struggled, but also where you succeeded. Be proud of this commitment.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Finally, enjoy yourself and be safe during this upcoming Holiday Season. Enjoy the success I know you’ll reach with this plan. Enjoy your gains, no matter how small. I’d love to hear from you. Leave a comment or post on my social media channels.
