My Favorite Things: Spring Edition

SPRING IS ALMOST HERE

I love Spring! Up until two days ago, I thought it was very near and then we were blessed with 6-8 inches of snow again! Yikes! Even so, being that it is March, I do know it is getting close. With a new season comes new must-have products for myself and my family. Below are some of the go-to products I love to use or have used in the past for my family.

Rain Boots

I’m so excited, I just ordered my kiddos new rain boots for Spring. They are the Lone Cone Children’s Rain Boots. The prints are absolutely adorable and they are super comfortable and BONUS, easy to get on too! They come in many different colors/styles. This is the first pair I have bought my daughter but the second pair my son has had over the years. They were so excited to get them that they put them on and ran around the house in them for hours yesterday (only time shoes are allowed on in my house is if they are new).
For myself, I use my go-to Hunter Rain Boots. This will be my second season with them and I absolutely love them for those muddy, raining days. They are also a lifesaver when my son decides to jump in puddles next to me and splash. They are tall enough to usually keep my clothes safe. They are a bit pricey but to me, worth every penny! I even want to get a second pair…this time I’ll spring for the shorter ones.
 

Rain Jacket

You can’t have rain boots without a rain jacket, or at least that is what I tell myself. I found the most adorable rain jacket for my daughter this year at Target. So cute, well made and affordable. I purchased this before I purchased the rain boots so they don’t match all that well, but are both absolutely adorable.
For myself, I am looking at one of two jackets to order. The one pictured from Target is my favorite. It is lightweight, versatile and on trend. Self Tanners

I just went on a two-week vacation and before I went I really wanted to get rid of my pasty white look. Who wouldn’t? There are 3 main tanning products that I have used in the past and would still use moving forward. Each has a little different application type and cost. Use what is best for you.
Seas Tanning Mist
The Tan Towel
Jergens Firming Tanning Lotion
I don’t think you can actually go wrong with any of these options, all are from reputable brands and work really well. No streaky mess. Just make sure you get the right shade to start with.
 
Skip- Hop Backpacks
For whatever reason, I feel like we just are busier once the weather gets nicer. Because of this, I like to let each kid have their own backpack, with their own unique items in it. My son has had his Monkey Skip-Hip backpack for many years now, but I just recently purchased my daughter’s unicorn one. They are both so adorable and durable for that matter. It is nice that each child can have their own snacks, drinks, and toys accessible for themselves. These bags are great for in the car while traveling, for daycare or early preschool days. You can even get the matching lunch tote to go with it!
 

Wipes for Your Home

Ok, so I know I am a little type A, but keeping wipes by the door, mudroom and entryway is a great idea with Springs muddy wet weather around the corner. Of course, if you have kids, it is a necessity. Even though I have floor mats, it never fails that my children track in water and mud during the spring weather. Instead of freaking out, just keep these floor wipes by your entry for easy accessibility. A complete life saver!
