5 Ways to Promote Weightloss

I am an advocate of losing weight the right way, the healthy way. I am not about fads or lose weight quick diets. It’s important to be happy with yourself at each stage of your life. In my younger years, I struggled with being happy with how I looked and my weight. After having children, I think I just saw life in a whole new way. For the first time, I realized what was truly important in life. The love I have for my children makes the rest seem silly.

Don’t get me wrong, I still want to be fit and healthy so I strive for that each day but without making myself feel guilty if I have an off day or during certain phases of life like having a baby.
WAYS TO PROMOTE WEIGHT LOSS
With all of that said, there are still ways to promote healthy weight loss faster*. Following these simple steps can dramatically change the way your body functions, giving you results faster.

Drink Water
Drinking water is the most underestimated way to lose weight. I think everyone knows deep down it is good for you, they just don’t understand why. Drinking water can help promote weight loss in 5 different ways:
- Increases your metabolism.
- Fuels your workouts & fitness routines.
- Helps you feel fuller longer.
- Boost your energy level.
- Keeps you from drinking other things with a higher caloric count.
Cardio + Weight Training
Doing just Cardio or just Weight Training alone is good for you, but combining the two will give you faster results. Cardio increases your metabolism but the more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism will be. Muscle burns fat and calories at a much faster rate. Also, those with higher amounts of muscle typically can maintain their weight more easily. It is recommended to weight train at least 2-3 times per week and cardio an additional 2-3 time per week. Fruits & Veggies

Protein
Eating foods with higher protein content can really promote weight loss. There are lots of ways to get protein. Just because you are a vegan or vegetarian doesn’t mean you can’t get a lot of protein. There is something called plant-based protein as well. Eggs, Almonds, Cottage Cheese, Oats, Chicken Breast, Brocolli, Greek Yogurt, Natural Peanut Butter, Fish, Beans, Tofu. Lentils and even Kale has a higher protein count. Most experts recommend around 20-25% of your diet to be protein each day. Having a higher protein diet will keep you fuller longer, give you more energy and help eliminate nighttime snacking.
